I have talked about Cocaine and Marijuana already and today is
Heroin’s turn. But I decided that is better if you watch a short
video I found in YouTube. In this video you can see many
statistics and effects of heroin. So here is the video:
After watching this video I felt like the idea of legalizing drugs
was probably the worst idea. But if you paid attention,
yes heroin is addictive, but if addicts didn't have to spend so
much money on heroin they would not be homeless. And the
only way for heroin to be A LOT cheaper is if drugs are
legalized. As the video stated heroin mostly comes from
Mexico and Colombia, as does cocaine so is as
responsible for the drug wars as cocaine is. I believe that
if it was legal and rationalized people would not
overdose that much and people could lead somewhat
normal lives. Do you agree with my reasoning or do
you believe that keeping it illegal is better?
Legalizing heroin would be one of the worst things the goverment could do. There is no way to "rationalize" heroin and if it were rationalized deaths of merchants selling the heroin would increase dramatically. Heroin addicts are not just going to want their allowed amount of heroin. They are going to want heroin until they can get no more. An addict doesn't know when they have had enough and will do anything to get more. Therefore legalizing an addictive drug like heroin or cocaine is not an option.
